Description
Need fun winter writing prompts to keep children engaged and happily writing?
Do you want your students to work with creative prompts they’ll love?
Could you allow all your students to participate in the same activity?
This easy-to-use resource needs to be copied, and you are ready to go.
Team writing is having students produce written work as a group. In these activities, the students work on creative writing pieces independently and pass them from student to student, which results in the entire group writing a part of every story.
This swap-a-story lesson gives fun winter writing prompts that allow whole classrooms or groups of students to write many stories together simultaneously.
How it works: one student starts a story, then passes it to the next student, who adds a few sentences before passing it on, etc. Every student begins their own story at the same time, so everyone is always writing.
This activity always brings laughter; students enjoy seeing their final story result. This activity is a great choice around the holiday breaks when students have a little extra energy but academic rigor is still necessary.
